Applications The College requires an Entry Level Laboratory Technician to join the team that supports the very busy, collegial Science Faculty in the Senior School. This is a temporary, part-time (0.3 FTE) position for the 2025 school year, working three days per fortnight. Successful candidates will have some laboratory experience. Responsibilites will include: - preparation of practical work for the teachers.
- organisation and maintenance of resources.
- maintenance of laboratories.
- WHS and chemical register compliance.
- administration.
- assistance with special events.
- other duties as requested by the Head of Faculty - Science.
It is expected that applicants will: - have the ability to work well in a team.
- possess excellent administration, organisation and interpersonal skills.
- have the ability to work unsupervised and to complete tasks within set and competing timeframes.
- quickly raise concerns with the Senior Laboratory Technician or the Head of Faculty - Science as soon as they arise.
- be skilled in the preparation of chemical solutions and the use of all data logging equipment and software.
- actively support the Christian ethos of PLC Sydney.
- abide by the Staff Code of Conduct and other College policies.
